This superb bird's-eye plan of Candia (now Heraklion) shows the city under siege by the Ottomans towards the end of the Siege of Candia, which ultimately lasted 21 years. The fortifications are well depicted, and the sea is filled with galleons.

An excellent impression on watermarked paper with a couple of unobtrusive rust spots and light foxing confined to the blank margins.
