This matching set of maps comes from the English edition of Mercator's Atlas Minor, which was published under the title Historia Mundi or Mercators Atlas by Michael Spark and Samuel Cartwright. English text on verso. Sizes vary slightly.

A. Saltzburg Carinthia. Attractive small map of the historic Salzburg and Corinthian regions. Fully engraved to illustrate the mountainous terrain filled with rivers, lakes, forests and villages. Decorated with strapwork title and scales cartouches.

B. Stiria. This lovely map of the Austrian state of Styria is centered on Graez (Graz) and is filled with many place names and excellent graphic representations of the topography. Adorned with a strapwork title cartouche that incorporates the distance scale.

Nice impressions with light toning along the edges of the sheets and a few minor chips and tears along along the edges.
