A. An Eye Sketch of the Falls of Niagara, by John Stockdale, dated 1798, black & white (9.0 x 6.5"). An uncommon little map of Niagara Falls showing Horseshoe and Schlosser Falls. Inset with a map of the border region that surrounds the falls from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie. Condition: Clean, bright, and fine. (A+)

B. The Straits of Niagara. Engraved for Darby's Tour, by William Darby, circa 1819, black & white (14.6 x 6.6"). Covers the length of the Niagara River from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario. Locates "The Great Falls" near the center of the map with several battles noted from the War of 1812. Includes an inset showing a vertical section of the rock beneath the falls. Condition: A dark impression on a clean sheet of watermarked paper. (A)

C. Map of Niagara Falls Showing Proposed Reservations for Protections of the Scenery..., by James T. Gardner, dated 1879, printed color (21.7 x 27.6"). A highly detailed map of Niagara Falls with the proposed protected lands highlighted in green overprinting. Includes block-level detail of the city as well as the surrounding countryside. Contour lines show topography along the gorge and soundings are noted below the two falls. Condition: Issued folding with some minor dampstaining along the bottom fold and a 1.5" tear adjacent to the same fold that has been closed on verso with archival tape. (B+)

D. [Lot of 2] Level Transfer Company, Inc. Scenic Route Around the Niagara Gorge, by the Niagara Falls Automobile Transit Co., dated 1907, printed color (19.9 x 7.1") and E. Niagara's Great Gorge Trip - The Falls and Whirlpool Rapids Route..., by Niagara Gorge Railroad Company, dated 1928, printed color (31.1 x 7.6"). These two brochures feature folding lithographs of the Niagara Falls Gorge. The first lithograph highlights scenic automobile routes in red overprinting, while the second advertises a close-up view of the Falls via railway as "there is no automobile road through the gorge." Both versos contain illustrations and related text. Condition: There are a few minor fold separations confined to the blank margins and light wear along the fold lines. (B+)
