With 100 beautifully reproduced colored maps, the book is a continuation of the effort by the Royal Geographical Society to reproduce important cartographic items for wide public access. Each map is accompanied by an extensive caption written by Goss translated into Polish. A treasure trove of information and illustrations. 224 pages, folio, hardbound in blue cloth with gilt spine and illustrated dust jacket.

Text is good, but the hinges are starting. Covers are slightly bumped along the bottom edges. The dust jacket has a few short tears and light soiling.
