A beautiful and complete atlas containing 129 total maps, including folding maps of the world and northern Italy. The atlas begins with maps of the world and the continents of Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and South America. The remainder of the atlas focuses on various regions throughout Europe with particular emphasis on France, Italy, Germany, and the Low Countries. Includes a beautifully engraved military-themed title page by Delahaye. List of maps is included at the end of the volume. 12mo., hardbound in full original leather with gilt decorations and title label on spine.

Condition: B+

The maps are very good to near fine, with faint to light toning along the centerfold, occasional foxing, and a few stains. A few of the maps are uniformly lightly toned. Contents tight. The hinges are starting, edges are bumped, and there are several tiny wormholes in the spine backstrip. Covers have average wear.
