Decorative map spanning the northern part of Russia from Finland to just beyond the Jenisej River and south to the Volga River. Includes the cities of Jaroslavl, Niznij Novgorod, and Kazan. The map is fully engraved with mountains and forests and place names, particularly along the rivers. Large title cartouche surrounded by a scene of fur merchants and the queen. Engraved by Jan l'Huilier.

Condition: B

A crisp impression and original outline color with later color in the cartouche and a couple of minor creases adjacent to the centerfold. There are several short cracks and one 2" crack at left caused by the oxidation of the green pigment, all of which have been closed on verso with archival materials. There are a couple of tiny holes associated with the 2" crack at left, but no loss of image.
