This is the second edition of this map that was first published in 1782. It covers the region from Klipping Island and St. Helen's Bay in the north to to False Bay in the south. Topography is well depicted with the Drakenstein Mountains prominently engraved along the eastern coastline. Individual settlements are drawn on the map along with two keys at left identifying important locations. Adorned by a decorative title cartouche at top right featuring an elephant hunt. Engraved by Louis de la Rochette.
