This very uncommon chart of the Red Sea features detail of the coastal settlements, islands, shoals, and caravan routes. Four insets show Jeddah near Mecca (Port de Giddah), Suakin in Sudan (Suakem), Massawa and Arkiko in Eritrea (Matzua et Arkiko), and the Mandeb Strait (Al Babo). Includes 10 distance scales.

A nice impression issued folding on a watermarked sheet with a 1" fold separation at top, minor offsetting and toning, and a few unobtrusive spots.
