A striking map of Brabant, including Antwerp, as well as Rotterdam, Roermond and Bergen op Zoom with north oriented to the left. The cartography is based on the six sheet map of Brabant by Jacob van Deventer that was published in 1536 and 1558. Dutch text on verso.

References: Van den Broecke #65.

Condition: A

Full original color on paper with the crossed arrows watermark commonly found in Ortelius' atlases. There are damp stains that extend along the sides of the sheet, barely entering the borders at the corners, and causing some paper weakness in the bottom blank margin, which has been archivally reinforced on verso. There is manuscript French text on verso.
