This large and finely engraved chart includes remarkable detail throughout, locating hundreds of villages, towns, roads and more. In the title, the "South Part" of Great Britain refers to the constitutional union of England and Scotland of 1707. The map is decorated by two elaborate cartouches, two compass roses, and flanked by tables of place names keyed to the map. The imprint at top left reads "Printed for H. Moll, over against Devereux Court without Temple Bar…By Whom are to be sold these maps, done by ye said Mr. Moll. The World, Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, South America, A map of the Roman Empire &c. each in two sheets where also may be had a New Pocket Globe of 3 Inches Diameter with all the new Constellations of Mr. Hevelius &c." Printed on two sheets and joined, as issued.

A sturdy sheet with light toning along the folds and a number of fold separations that have been repaired on verso with tissue. There is a repaired edge tear that extends 1.5" into the image at bottom, and a section of the bottom border at left has been replaced with old paper.
