An early map of the county of Lincolnshire engraved by William Kip and based upon the famous survey by Christopher Saxton. The map shows the city of Lincoln to the left of center, with hundreds of tiny towns labeled. The map is adorned with two strapwork cartouches and a compass rose. Published in the 1637 edition of Camden's Britannia, with the addition of a plate number on the map.

Condition: B+

Watermarked paper with several short creases, mild toning, and light damp stains that just enter the map image at right and left. There is a short centerfold separation confined to the bottom blank margin.
