This is a special limited edition copy (#2 out of just 100 copies) published by Halton & Truscott Smith Ltd., London, 1926. It is an excellent and sought after reference compiled from maps in the MacPherson Collection, one of the finest collections in existence. Seventy-nine maps are reproduced, including 19 full-color (1 folding) tipped in, and a catalogue of atlases 1477-1875. 4to, three quarter vellum over brown cloth boards with gilt titles on the spine. Printed on quality rag stock.

Contents are very good with faint toning along some sheet's edges and minor scattered foxing mainly confined to the endpapers. There is minor wear and soiling to the covers.
