It was written by John Boyd Thacher (1847-1909), who in addition to being an author of several books was a noted book collector, manufacturer, mayor of Albany, and New York state senator. The book includes facsimiles of 14 original maps (several folding), plates, drawings, and ornate capitals. #129 of 250 copies. 270 pp. with some illustrations on additional unnumbered pages in the back. Hardbound in maroon cloth with a vellum spine with gilt titles. Top edge gilt.
