Attractive miniature map of the Bay of Cadiz which includes the city of Cadiz, San Fernando, and the southwestern coast of Spain. Strapwork title and distance scale cartouches, a tiny sailing ship, and sea monsters decorate the map. The map was engraved by the brothers Ambrose and Ferdinand Arsenius who had been assistants to Frans Hogenburg and co-engravers of Ortelius' folio Theatrum. This series of maps was accompanied by text by Michel Coignet and was published by Jan van Keerbergen. Latin text on verso.
