This rare Spanish map is from the Portulano de la America Setentrional... and depicts Amelia Island, Nassau Sound, and Nassau River. The map is finely engraved to illustrate the topography of the coast and the water is shown with sailing channels, soundings and anchorages. Engraved above neatline at top is Florida Oriental, and the engraver's initials TG are imprinted directly below the bottom neatline.
