This lot includes three small maps of the island of Saint Lucia in the Lesser Antilles. The first is an intricately engraved map of the entire island showing topographical details, place names, a road that runs the length of the island to the town of Soufriere, and the minute coastal detail for which Bellin is renowned. It is nicely decorated with a rococo-style cartouche. The other two items are charts depicting the island's capital, Castries (Carenage), and Roseau Bay, respectively. Each includes depth soundings; the latter includes a rococo-style title cartouche. North is oriented to the left on all three sheets.
