This uncommon Civil War era map focuses on the South. It is extremely detailed showing railroads, towns, cities and highlights battle sites with red hand color. The lower right has a "Chronology of the Principal Events of the War" which starts with Jeff. Davis's inauguration and ends with his capture. Surrounded by a decorative vine & trellis border. Copyrighted by G.W. & C.B. Colton and published by E. B. Treat & Co. in The Lost Cause: A New Southern History of the War of the Confederates written by Edward A. Pollard.

A mostly clean and bright example with a bit of toning along two folds and a few tiny fold separations closed on verso with archival tape. Issued folding.
