A. North and South Carolina, by Samuel Augustus Mitchell, dated 1877 (14.1 x 11.6"). This map depicts counties, roads, towns, and rivers, with an inset bird's-eye plan of Charleston. North Carolina county configuration is circa 1873, before the creation of Pender County. South Carolina is current circa 1874, prior to the creation of Hampton County at the southern tip of the state. Interestingly in this map the eastern portion of Beaufort County is separated into Prince William County. Condition: Original color with a hint of toning. (A)

B. Johnson's Georgia and Alabama, by A.J. Johnson, dated 1863 (22.1 x 15.4"). This map depicts counties, roads, railroads, cities, and more. Georgia is current to 1861, with Cass County renamed Bartow. Alabama is current up to 1866, with the addition of several new counties, including Etowah (now known as Blaine), Cleburne, Clay, Lee, Elmore, Bullock, and Crenshaw. Condition: Original color with light toning along centerfold and edges of sheet. (B+)
