A. A New & Accurate Map of the Western Parts of Barbary, Containing Fez, Morocco, Algiers, Tunis & Biledulgerid... [on sheet with] A New & Accurate Map of the Eastern Parts of Barbary, Containing Tripoli, Barca, Faisan and the Northern Parts of Egypt..., by Emanuel Bowen, circa 1720 (16.6 x 13.4"). Bowen's map of Northern Africa is divided into East and West, extending east to the Red Sea. There is detail of political boundaries, topography, cities, and the location of various Arab tribes. Each map contains a rococo cartouche. Condition: Supple paper with fleur-de-lis watermark. Light toning along the centerfold and a tiny hole just north of Candia.

B. Etats du Roi de Maroc; les Royaumes d'Alger, de Tunis et de Tripoli, avec les Pays Circonvoisins, by Rigobert Bonne, circa 1770 (9.1 x 13.5"). This map also divides Northern Africa into East and West, although the eastern portion is quite devoid of information, extending just shy of the Nile River. Condition: Watermarked paper with minor toning along the centerfold and a few spots of foxing.
