Miniature map of Hungary and the surrounding region. The tiny map is centered on Budapest and is filled with place names each symbolized by a tiny castle and colored in red. Strapwork title cartouche. The map was engraved by the brothers Ambrose and Ferdinand Arsenius who had been assistants to Frans Hogenburg and co-engravers of Ortelius' folio Theatrum. This series of maps was accompanied by text by Michel Coignet and was published in Antwerp by Plantin Press. Latin text on verso.
