This simplified map of the world shows the continental outlines with major countries and cities. North America is noted as the dominion of New Britain, Canada, United States, Louisiana, and New Mexico. A West R. runs from the center of North America to Nootka Sound. The discoveries of Captain Cook are illustrated in Alaska, Australia, and New Zealand, and it notes Owhyhee where Captain Cook was killed. New Guinea is only partly outlined, and Van Diemens Land is attached to the mainland of Australia. Engraved by B. Baker.
