This attractive map of the Eastern Balkans is centered on Bulgaria and includes the Bosphorus and Constantinople. The Danube and its tributaries flow across the map and are the focal point. This is Mercator's second map of the region, with an updated strapwork title cartouche with a military theme. French text on verso.

A nice impression with full original color, light color offsetting, toning, and minor scattered foxing primarily confined to the blank margins.
