This lot of decorative miniature maps comes from Mallet's renowned Description de l'Univers and consists of both views and maps. Includes two battle scenes in the vicinity of Fort Louis in French Guiana and maps that depict the mythical lakes Parime and Xarayes. Covers most of the continent with French text on verso. Size varies slightly. This lot includes:

Condition: A

Nice dark impressions with minor printer's ink residue mostly in the margins. There is a light damp stain in the top right blank margin on all the sheets with tiny edge chips far from map images.
