This is the first limited edition (#16 out of 1,500 copies) published by Halton & Truscott Smith Ltd., London, 1926. It is an excellent and sought after reference compiled from maps in the MacPherson Collection, one of the finest collections in existence. Seventy-nine maps are reproduced, including 19 full-color (1 folding) tipped in, and a catalogue of atlases 1477-1875. 4to, hardbound in gilt embossed, red cloth boards.

Contents are tight with some light toning. A few of the pages have small chips along the fore-edge, away from the text and images. Spine is sunned and the covers have light shelf wear.
