This rare, early pocket map of the state delineates counties and locates scores of towns and villages. The map extends to show all of the state except for Washington Island in Door County. The extensive railway system is depicted and named with lines reaching L'Anse at Keweenaw Bay, with proposed lines to Ashland at Chequamegon Bay. Carries the imprint of Cram's Western Map Depot, 66 Lake St. Chicago, Ills. This Lake Street address was the home to Cram's publishing company between 1873 and 1879, thereafter moving to Wabash Avenue. Folds into cream colored paper wrappers. There are no records of the 1876 edition being offered for sale in the last 30 years.
