A. County Map of Ohio and Indiana, by Samuel Augustus Mitchell, dated 1872, hand color (14.4 x 11.8"). This detailed map shows the counties of Indiana and Ohio. Towns and cities, roads, canals, and railroads both completed and proposed are located. The straight border between Highland and Brown counties in Ohio suggests that the county configuration is up to date as of 1874. Portions of Michigan, Lake Erie, and Kentucky appear as well. It includes a border with a vine motif. Condition: There are pencil markings in the map image and small chips, short edge tears, and minor toning in the blank margins. (B+)

B. The Cities of Pittsburgh and Allegheny, with Parts of Adjacent Boroughs, Pennsylvania [on sheet with] The City of Cincinnati Ohio, by Johnson & Browning, dated 1855, hand color (12.9 x 15.9"). This sheet includes plans of Pittsburgh and Allegheny and Cincinnati, with nice detail of streets, railroads, and rivers. The copyright is attributed to J.H. Colton & Co. The plans are surrounded by a strapwork border. Condition: Faint scattered foxing with a couple short edge tears and light toning in the blank margins. (A)

C. Ohio and Indiana [on verso] Michigan, by Sidney E. Morse, from A System of Geography..., circa 1846, printed color (8.3 x 5.6"). This sheet from a geography book features a map of Ohio and Indiana on recto and Michigan on verso. County configuration is current to at least 1844, as the counties of Defiance and Wyandot have not yet formed in Ohio. Vignettes depict A flat-boat on the Wabash and Cincinati Landing on recto and Indians assembled at Mackinaw on verso. On a full sheet of English text measuring 9.4 x 12.1". Condition: Overall clean and bright with a few very faint spots of foxing. (A)
