This is a handsome bird's-eye plan of the fortified city of Turin along the Po River in northwestern Italy. A legend at top identifies numerous important locations, including the palace, churches, the Jewish quarter, and a hospital. At the beginning of the 19th century, Turin, along with the entire region of Piedmont, was annexed by the French Empire, until the fall of the Napoleon in 1814. This map was published during this period of French control in Neueste Kunde von Frankreich from the series Neuste Laender und Volkerkunde.
