This fascinating sheet includes four separate images, numbered 1-4, depicting the travels of Jacob Cornelius van Neck (1564–1638), who led the second Dutch expedition to Indonesia.

1. A scene on the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean showing numerous workers fishing, building a boat, cooking, and blacksmithing, with a group gathered for the morning sermon. Exotic plants and animals are also shown, including giant tortoises, a Dodo bird, and a large bat. A tree holds a sign with the coats of arms of Amsterdam and Zeeland.
2. A procession of the king of Ternate in the Moluccas, who has a parasol held over his head and is preceded by a man holding a pot of incense.
3. A map of the Banda Islands in the Moluccas, with several towns noted, including the important port of Nera.
4. The king of Tubatus (likely Turban, on the northeast coast of Java) riding high upon an elephant followed by his court, greets a group of Dutch explorers.
