A small map of central and western Mexico based on the cartography of Ortelius. Mexico City is located on the banks of a large, hourglass-shaped lake and numerous gold and silver mines are scattered across the map. Engraved by Petrus Kaerius. Lovely calligraphy, decorative title cartouche and scale of miles embellish the page. Related German text on verso.
