A handsome lot of two maps that depict all of the primary harbors around the coast of South America, the Falkland Islands, and the Strait of Magellan, which separates Terra del Fuego from Patagonia. Additionally, the maps locate the Amazon River, the Rio de la Plata and Buenos Ayres, Salvador, and Cape Horn. The first map includes the entire continent with part of Central America and provides good detail inland. The second map extends north just to the equator, with detail mostly confined to the coasts, and contains a decorative compass rose with a fleur-de-lys and radiating rhumb lines.
