This view depicts Fort Johnson, New York, issued in the October 1759 edition of the Royal Magazine. William Johnson was an army officer in colonial New York, and was a Major General during the French and Indian War. Guy Johnson was his nephew, and after the marriage to Polly Johnson, also was his son-in-law. Engraved by Hulett. Accompanied by the complete, disbound issue of the magazine, including 2 other single-page engravings (one in color).
