This important BAE report was published when John Wesley Powell was its director. There are two sections in this part 2 of the report. The first section is "Navaho houses", by Cosmos Mindeleff and covers pp. 469-517. The second section is "Archeological expedition to Arizona in 1895" and covers pp 519-744. Included in this volume is a "Map of Part of the Navaho Reservation" in Arizona and New Mexico. There are numerous plates, many in color, showing Navaho houses and Indian pottery. Hardbound in original green cloth bindings with gilt titles on spine and illustration of a chief on front covers.

Condition: A

Plates, text and map are all very good with just a hint of toning and occasional light foxing. Front cover is starting to separate from the contents, spine is soft and binding is loosening. Still a great example.
