This unique map includes 19 miniature maps of different parts of Asia with descriptions of each of them. The first map, at top left, depicts all of Asia, and includes some interesting cartography in northeastern Asia. A huge Amerique, incorporating Terre de Iesso, extends off the map, and is separated from the mainland by a narrow strait, below which are the islands of Korea and Japan. While most of Duval's maps are based on the cartography of Sanson, this feature does not resemble any of Sanson's maps and appears to have originated with Duval. Also included are maps of Turkey and Cyprus, Syria and Israel, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Russia, China, India, Malaysia, Japan, the Philippines, and many others. Each map identifies the main cities, rivers and mountains in the region, and some even feature the local coat of arms. French text above each map gives interesting facts about the area, including information on the people, royalty, and provinces.
