The architectural masterpieces of the ancient world are illustrated on this unusual map. It covers the Mediterranean region east of Rome and extends to include Egypt, the Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf. Tiny vignettes of the monuments are located throughout the map with a key at bottom. Includes the Pyramids, Salomon's Temple, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Lighthouse at Alexandria, Colossus of Rhodes, Temple of Diana and many others.
