Two handsome regional maps finely engraved in Mercator's distinctive style with fully engraved seas and flourishing calligraphy. The first map (15.7 x 11.4") covers the region surrounding Alborg and the Limforden. French text on verso. The second map (15.8 x 14.2") covers Fyn and the surrounding islands. Latin text on verso.

Condition:

First is very good with very wide original margins (A). Second is lightly toned on centerfold. The top and bottom margins have been trimmed for a previous binding and the bottom margin has some chips nearly to the neatline (B).
