This superb, large-scale chart details the northern tip of Scotland as well as the Orkney and Shetland isles. Also shows all of the Isle of Lewis and the tip of Skye. Extends south in Scotland to include Cromarty Firth in the east and Upper Loch Torridon in the west. Coastal inland areas are shown in great detail. Locates the cities of Dornock, Tame and Dingwal. Many place names along the coast including Chateau d'Oldwick ou du Vieux Wick, Carnigo Nouveau Chateau de Sinclair, Cape Wrath, Cape Dungsbay and many more. Many castles are located including Dunbeath, Berrydale, Forse, B. Mey, and several more. Locates many small towns and villages, delineates wagon roads and trails, rivers and mountains. This map is distilled from Bellin's larger, separately issued maps of the British Isles. The chart is embellished by a large title cartouche, compass rose and numerous rhumb lines. The map carries Depot de la Marine stamp at lower left. The cost Prix, cinquante sols is engraved below the border.
