This uncommon Italian produced map features good detail and fine engraved lines. The Republic of Texas (Rep. di Texas) is named. However, the geography of the western U.S. is confused with old and new territorial boundaries intermingled. Utah is huge, New Mexico shows a pre-Gadsden Purchase border and the entire Northwest is Oregon Territory. Alaska is well formed and labeled America Russa with Kenai located and the Cook Inlet named (Str di Cook). At lower right the legend uses different colors to indicate European colonial possessions.
