This is a classic fox hunting engraving from the renowned Rudolph Akermann. The image is in the highly desirable aquatint process. The foreground has a reluctant horse being urged by his rider to enter water. Nearby are several companion riders accompanied by several foxhounds with the English countryside in the background. The image of the horse is well rendered with great detail of the English saddle and bridle. Plate 5 is at upper right. From the original art by H. Alken, engraved by J. Harris.
