This map was reportedly produced by Kageyama Chikyo in "Ansei 3" or 1856. The map shows the Sumida area which is one of the 23 special wards of Tokyo. It is in the northeastern part of Tokyo and is bounded by the Sumida and Arakawa rivers. This colorful woodblock pocket map folds into hard paper covers in bright blue with a paper label on the front. Travel and tourist maps are called dochuzu or "on-the-road-maps".
