Nice example of Blaeu's beautiful map of Catalonia. It covers the Mediterranean coast from just north of Perpignan, which at the time was a part of Catalonia, to Peniscola in Valencia. The map is densely engraved with hundreds of place names, castles, rivers, bridges, monasteries, mountains and more. Richly embellished with a title cartouche with the coat of arms, a scales cartouche, four sailing ships and two compass roses.
