This Alaska gold rush-era folding pocket map in original tan pocket wrappers was issued by Wm. W. Hart & Co., New York, importers, exporters, dealers and manufactures of Esquimaux Fur Suits and waterproof fur-lined sleeping bags. Map folds up showing title panel on verso Correct Map of Alaska and Klondike. The verso is mostly blank except for the upper 1/3 showing photographic examples of Hart & Co. products. The cover has the tease "You will find gold If you can stand the cold." A great advertising map aimed at the Alaskan gold rush market.
