Set of full sheets with multiple maps, views and battle plans providing great detail on Tennessee battles, forts, etc. There are town plans of Chattanooga, Nashville, Franklin, Columbia, Galatin, and Clarksville, plans of fortifications including Fort Sill, Fort Whipple, Fort McCook, Ft. Donelson, Harker, and Pickering. Many battle plans presented, including Droop Mountain. Other non-Tennessee towns included are Dalton, GA; Huntsville, AL; and Cleveland. Of special note are three full sheets with numerous single tint photographs -- fabulous panoramas: two of Chattanooga, and three showing Knoxville. Other photos show steam paddle-wheel ship and pontoon bridge across the Appomattox River, large cannons, a huge supply wagon train at Chattanooga, an intricate wooden military bridge across the Tennessee at Chattanooga and more. Many famous photographers worked in the war, but no attribution is given for the photographs. Published circa 1892 from maps drawn during the Civil War.
