Set of full sheets with multiple maps and battle plans providing great detail on Georgia battles, forts, etc. There are town plans of Atlanta from Gen. Sherman's campaign, Chickamauga, Chattanooga (Tenn.), Cold Harbor (Va.), campaign plans and positions for the 20th Army Corps including a large map of the Peach Tree Creek Battle. Four terrific sheets feature numerous single tint photographs; the Engine "Hero", views of Libby Prison, many forts and batteries photographs, most in Atlanta. Many famous photographers worked in the war, but no attribution is given for these photographs. A large panel shows all of the Iron Clads and their positions on January 15, 1865 -- the Minnesota, Wabash, Mahopac, Canoicus, Iron Sides, Monadnock, Saugus, Malvern (Flag Ship), and the Brooklyn. Published circa 1892 from maps drawn during the Civil War.
