This finely engraved sea chart covers from Lisbon, Portugal to Cape Verde, Africa. It also features important Atlantic islands including the Azores, Cape Verde, Canary and Madeira Islands. A fine compass rose orients the map with north to the left. The handsome chart is adorned with a large title cartouche flanked by a lion and a leopard.

Ample margins and good impression but the map has some water stains, mostly in margins but also extending into the map along the centerfold from top and bottom. Centerfold split repaired on verso. Sound paper.
