Beautifully engraved map with a pictorial title cartouche taking in the entire bottom third of the chart. The map covers the Barbary Coast from present day Morocco through the Tripoli region of Libya. Good detail as it locates numerous cities, villages and mountain ranges. Sicily, and parts of Spain and Sardinia are visible in the Mediterranean. The monument-style title cartouche features a vast savanna landscape with lions.

Folding as issued. Overall crisp impression with a bit of slight weakness in one small area, otherwise fine. Manuscript page number 3.a along with a small correction written in bottom right border, probably contemporary to the map's production.
