An infrequently seen, handsome plan showing the walled city of Ayutthaya along the Chao Phraya River (Menan). A table above locates twenty-two important buildings, hotels, palaces, the college, etc. The map shows the city during the reign of King Narai when the Kingdom of Siam encouraged trade with several European nations, most prominently the French and Dutch. The map is embellished with a compass rose.
