Captain Grose previously published Antiquities of England and Wales before embarking on the Scottish project. The plates include: Stirling Church; Holy Rood Chapel, W. Aspect; Trinity Colledge church, Edinburgh; Inside the Holy Rood Chapel - viewed from the East; Pluscardine Monastery; Dundrennan Abbey Pl. 2; The Well-House Tower, Edinburgh Castle; Dundrennan Abby Pl:1; Glen Luce Abby Pl: 2; Glenluce Abby. Pl.1; Linlithgow Palace; and West View of the Holy Rood Chapel. These are rarely seen copper engravings depicting important buildings and ruins in Scotland.

The images are very good with wide (3") margins that generally have scattered foxing. Each sheet is full and untrimmed, some with edges toned and rough.
