Nice lot showing the political organization of the islands during three historical periods. The first shows Scotland and Ireland as Scotia during the Roman era. In the pictorial cartouche Roman soldiers confront local warriors. Above, two putti hold a coin with Constantine in profile. The second map has an inset of the Orkney Islands. The cartouche features soldiers with a castle in the background. The last map has curious sea monsters and several sailing ships . It extends to only the southern 1/3 of Scotland. Two handsome soldiers in full armor and headdresses hold aloft the title.

Good impression on fine hand laid paper with full margins. The images have a few spots and a little foxing or staining in margin. The Saxony map has what looks like a paper burn in right and lower margin.
