This large state survey map is drawn on a scale of 20 miles to the inch. It shows the topography, vegetation, towns, cities, forts, rivers, lakes, swamps and many early railroads and wagon roads. Most of the state is shown as surveyed with scattered areas unsurveyed including the large Everglades area which is referred to as "Unsurveyed and Unexplored." The key locates Private Grants, Pine Lands, Swamps, Hammocks, Prairie, Sawgrass & Marsh and more. Map extends to show the keys and to Dry Tortugas Island and Ft. Jefferson, and locates Ft. Lauderdale, Key West, Key Biscayne, scores of smaller keys and much, much more. Made under the direction of J.A. Williamson, Commissioner by C. Roeser, Principal Draughtsman.
