"[Lot of 2] Die Statt Chur [and] Von dem Hoff su Chur", Munster, Sebastian

A pair of woodcut views of Chur, the oldest town in Switzerland, and the capital of the canton of Graubünden. Chur was established as a fortified Roman camp named Raetorum more than 5000 years ago.

1) Von dem Hoff su Chur is a view of the town (6.3 x 5.8") on a page of German text measuring (8 x 12").
2) Die Statt Chur… is a more detailed view (13.5 x 5.5") on a double sheet with German text (15 x 12"). The ancient churches of St. Martins and St. Luzius are shown and named, along with other points of interest within the walled medieval town. An unfortunate person is shown hanging from the gibbet outside of town.
